• Pick recommenders, document work/volunteer hours, create school list (Use MSAR)

Primary application opens (not yet for submission)

• Begin filling out the application

• Ensure recommendations are being sent (Interfolio)

• Know requirements of each school

Primary application open FOR SUBMISSION

• Submit ASAP (opening date varies by year). You do not need to submit on the first day, but submit as soon as you gather the necessary materials and have thoroughly proofread your application.

• Begin pre-writing secondaries

• Sign up for CASPer®

Secondaries begin*

• Submit as soon as possible after receiving secondary applications (within 2 weeks of receiving each application)

• Take CASPer®

• Double check inbox and application portals for extra requirements (don't assume secondary submission = application complete)

• Aim to be complete at all schools by Labor Day at the latest!

Interviews

• Practice traditional and MMI interview questions

• Buy a set of interview attire

• Follow-up (Thank-you letters, updates, LOI, etc.)

Applicants commit & enroll

• While decisions start to release Oct. 15, they will trickle in throughout the rest of the cycle

• Waitlist movement usually occurs in May
